We are currently searching for a HVAC/Plumbing Designer with at least 3 years of experience in the MEP industry. As a Mechanical Designer, you will be responsible for developing detailed 3D models of piping, plumbing, and sheet metal duct systems. These models will support design efforts, structural coordination, and fabrication processes (CAD/CAM). Working closely with design engineers, you will convert sketches, existing drawings, and electronic images into precise and comprehensive drawings.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
- Prepare MEP drafts for commercial HVAC and plumbing systems, utilizing Revit MEP and AutoCAD MEP to develop mechanical construction models, following established project templates
- Design drawings based on written and verbal descriptions from design engineers as well as customer and firm drawings
- Coordinate and detail 3D plumbing and HVAC systems to create detailed field installation and fabrication drawings
- Provide technical support for existing projects and field service staff
- Review and present final coordination drawings to field staff
- Visit the job site to assess current conditions. Document findings thoroughly to ensure accurate representation in the project model
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; degree in Computer Aided Drafting/Construction or Mechanical Technology is helpful
- Three or more years of experience working in mechanical design with knowledge of current CAD and BIM platforms; general construction knowledge
- Experience working with a Design/Build Mechanical or General Contractor company is helpful
- Revit and CAD drafting skills with a robust understanding of drawing setup, modeling techniques and general knowledge of drafting standards
- Experience with the CAD/CAM process, including sheet metal duct downloads to automated duct fabrication, facility and pipe spooling and mapping for pre-fabrication
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and BIM software is required; Experience with other industry related programs such as Autodesk Construction Cloud, Bluebeam, and Navisworks, is helpful
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate at various levels throughout the organization
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision, manage multiple tasks and meet simultaneous deadlines
- Must have good follow-through and self-implemented quality control measures.
- Valid driver's license and successful completion of drug and criminal background screenings
